Brendan: A sketch image for a pitch I concocted for DC Comics:

DELINQUENT JIMMY OLSEN was an idea for a three part miniseries that I planned to write and draw.

The Reverse-Flash, Professor Zoom, attempts to reverse-engineer a Bizarro back to human form, but instead unleashes a terrible reverse-Bizarro plague. Superman is imprisoned in a purple-kryptonite cage. As society crumbles, Superman's pal, Jimmy Olsen, finds that he and a few others are immune to the contagion. They are outlaws in a lawless, bizarro world. It is up to these delinquents to save our lives.

DELINQUENT JIMMY OLSEN

Coming soon.

They didn't go for it, but I think it would have made a good comic miniseries. Saturn Girl was in it too. And a new character, Dr. Zyxtiplytk, appears as well. Something a bit different...

Some revamped ZYBORIA designs, with a digital "wash 'n brush-up" by 2000AD's Boo Cook

Brendan: I've been commissioned by Marvel Comics to write and draw a new Dr Strange and Spider-Man three issue mini series. I'm just getting into it and I expect it to be finished early next year. It's quite a thrill to finally get to draw the Doctor, my favourite Marvel character - and Spidey too.

To harmonise myself with the sublime 'Ditko Dimension', I have been digitally remixing some of his original 60's pages, trying to get a feel for them from another 'fresh' visual angle... And in doing so, realizing just what a total genius he is.

And if anyone hasn't purchased the new Blake Bell Fantagraphics Ditko book - I strongly recommend it.

Brendan: I lived in Vancouver for about 4 years on and off when I was designing REBOOT and all those animated mainframe shows... I created a 'first nation superhero' based on the totem culture of the Pacific Northwest native Amnerican tribes. The art of this region is stunning, especially the masks and mythological sculptures. Even Vancouver airport has a amazing sculpture of Raven creating mankind.

The photographic images in this presentation are not by me, but I was using them as reference for the TOTEM CGI animated TV series I had proposed. I may even turn TOTEM into a comic series... I think it could be quite a bit different to the usual stuff out there.

Brendan: ZYBORIA was created with Ian Pearson, one of the original writers of the hit animated series REBOOT. ZYBORIA was a pitch for a one hour follow-up TV series to REBOOT, the idea being to reach the "Star Trek" audience with a more "adult" themed animated mo-cap cgi Sci-fi show. It was pitched to HBO and the SciFI Channel about 6 years ago as I recall. No takers though. When I was living in Hollywood, I subsequently re-wrote it into a feature-length film and it was taken up by Francis Lawrence (I AM LEGEND) for a short while. but after touting it around the studios with no luck, I had to mothball it and get on with some other new projects. Shame really, as it was a very good story

Brendan: "ADMIRAL POLO is a kind of "Black Adder in Space". A cod-elizabethan sci-fi animated romp".

Brendan: "THE GARDEN is a new cgi feature I wrote, a rock n roll musical cross between Yellow Submarine and Happy Feet, with Flowers as the main characters".
